Meet The Reporter |

Hello to All Texas HOSA Members! My name is German Sanchez, and I am very proud to be your 2008-2009 Texas HOSA Reporter!!! Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself. I have been actively involved with HOSA since my freshmen year. In these past four years, I have gained much experience to make me the leader that I am today. Due to my participation in school HOSA events and participation in area and state HOSA conferences, I have learned much about the purpose and true meaning of being in this organization. I try to encourage all my friends to get involved, because HOSA not only helps steer you to your future, but it is also a great way to meet new people and have lots of fun. Thanks to HOSA, I am more excited about my future in the medical field. I would like to thank my teachers who supported me as I ran for state office. I became the first student from my school to get elected as an state officer, so I feel very honored. I work at the Chick-Fill-A in the South Texas Medical Center. I am an active member in other organizations such as in the St. Mary's Upward Bound pre-college program, and the Teen Medical Academy. I am a member of the Med-Prep program, a program that helps students that are interested in going to the medical field. I’m also part of NHS, theater arts , and the yearbook club. In my free time, I volunteer at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital ER department as a junior volunteer and have clocked more than 300 hours of service. I have dreams to become an ER doctor not for the money, but because I want to help people. I know is going to take a lot of time and school, but this is my goal. My dream is to walk down the hospital hallways and for people to see me as a Super Doctor!! Also, I plan to study abroad by volunteering my time in hospitals in Africa or in South America. I am proud to represent Texas HOSA this year. I will work hard to make this HOSA year memorable and fun, and I hope to help raise our spirit and make you proud of being a member of our State. If you need any help running for area office or state office or just want to talk, please feel free to e-mail me Gsanchez1714@hotmail.com.
This year’s state officer group has so many goals and ideas and I would like to encourage everyone to get involved this year and run for area or state office. I look forward to seeing you and meeting everyone!!! Also, I hope you all will enjoy being a member of HOSA as much as I do. |
