Text Box: Howdy! Welcome to another year of HOSA Area 7 members. The 2008-2009 officer team, hereby vows to organize a fun-packed and memorable fall leadership conference. Brighten Your Future With HOSA sets its central message on the idea that HOSA helps health science students across the nation create a pathway that enlightens the road to a better tomorrow. As members, and active officers within school chapters, students gain knowledge and experience that molds them into leaders. That same knowledge allows the student to apply themselves in future career decisions, as well as everyday choices. We would like to encourage each and every health science student to enroll in HOSA and actively participate in their chapter functions. Furthermore, we would like to challenge all active members to utilize their leadership skills by running for office, and/or assisting in the organization of HOSA chapters within their school. The first event to take course in the 2008-2009 HOSA year is the fall leadership conference, which will be held in Rio Grande City on Saturday October 25. The conference is expected to begin at 9am sharp, and end at approximately 2pm. All Chapters are asked to create a poster board, no greater in size than 11x14, that reflects the conference theme. The poster board should include the school name and chapter number. All members of the chapter are encouraged to participate and work as a team to create a masterpiece! Bright paints, colors, or markers are suggested items to use while constructing your personalized posters. Winners will be announced and awarded during the ceremony.
