Hey ya’ll! My name is Michelle Chimeno and I’m your 2007-2008 Area VI HOSA President. I’m a senior at Hardin-Jefferson High School in Sour Lake, Texas. School, extracurricular activities, friends, and family pretty much take up all my time. I am very involved in my local chapter where I serve as co-president and of course Area VI HOSA. The medical field has made many impacts on my life which is why I’m going into this profession. I’ve been involved in Health Science Technology I, II, and currently III where I will be certified as a Nurse Aide and Pharmacy Technician. This will benefit me greatly when I graduate, along with my experiences in HOSA. When I’m not working on the weekends, I like to hang out and just enjoy my senior year, whether it’s football games or just hanging out with my friends. They definitely are contributing to my great senior year so far. I have an older brother and twin sisters who definitely keep the house interesting. My mom is a registered nurse and my dad works at Exxon Mobil. I’d like to think of myself as a caring, strong, and hard working person and believe that you get what you give. The other area officers and I are looking forward to the upcoming year. We look forward to seeing you all at the Fall and Spring Leadership Conferences.
